M106 Esercito Italiano

 Motivated by a game with more points than I had until now, I quickly painted a unit of 120mm mortar carriers for my Ariete Division.
 Their main role is to lunch a smoke barrage to cover the advance on my M60 tanks.
Then they will be used to defend an objective while annoying enemy infantry in their fox holes.
 I assembled the models a bit differently from the usual way that Battlefront does.
Inspired by historical photographs I left the back door open and the mortar backward reversed. I think that it looks much better so. 

 

 

Due to the lack of sources on internet, I decided to collect from now on, in my blog, reference photos for each unit I paint.
