De Rochefort Battle Standard Bearer

I completed another cornerston of my army: the Paladin carrying the Battle Standard.

It is a piece I never had. I always used the beatuful Repanse de Lyonesse to cover such role. I wanted to had one all the time, I even collected the model parts of it (some game zone metal hero), but somehow I never had the strength to start it, may I will use the model for another role in the future.

Now we play in a earlier timeline of Warhammer, 200 years before the old WH setting. It means that the Marquis Etien De Rochefort is not yet born and its colors will not march on the battlefield for a while.
I play now an ancestor of that character: Gilles De Rochefort, the very first lord of that noble family. This "new" Paladin has its own coat of arms: The White Unicorn, showing his covenant with the Fey People, and the Fleur de Lys, for his pious virtue and complete devotion to the Lady of the Lake.

Those colours are since long already in my army: on the Questing Knights and on the Grail Pilgrim Sisters, while the white unicorn on a azur (blue) field was the heraldry of the Duke of Quenelles, liege Lord of Etien De Rochefort in Warhammer.

This new model is intended to represent all the editions I collected. The horse is a new 3D print of Highland Miniatures, I like how it is similar to 6th edition horses, but with the free barding (without the shield) like the 5th ed. ones.
The Paladin is the metal 6th ed. Battle Standard Bearer with a 3D banner from Last Sword Miniatures.
He has his own heraldry, has he is a Grail Knight, liege and friend of Gilles De Rochefort.
The Unicorn bring forth the theme of the Dukedom of Quenelles while the special Sword/Fleur de Lys is the new symbol of Bretonnia in the Old World.
