Domanne Men at Arms

 I am very proud of this achievement: I did finish a unit after 27 years :-D

I started collecting Bretonnian men at arms back in December '96. After a couple of years I wanted to collect a full unit of red a white men at arms. 

I started with the metal Perry's from 5th edition and when the 6th edition came out with all those new lovely plastic kits I waited eagerly the new Bretonnian infantry. I was although disappointed by the release, because of the Pavise shield together with a pole arm weapon that the poor soldiers was clearly unable to use. I did not like the comic face too. 

I slowly planned to convert that kit in order to get better models able to mix with my 5th edition collection. The pole arm was replace with a spear, the Pavise war cut off and the men at arms equipped with a medieval Heather shield. Lastly many got another head from other historical plastic kits.

Here you have the result: the Men at Arms of the Domanne castle, started in 1998, finally march to battle in the year 2025! 😁
